As a linguist, you will provide linguist support to the U.S. Army Core of Engineers in various locations worldwide. Linguist will provide general linguistic support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences; interpret and translate written and spoken communications; and transcribe and analyze verbal communications and perform document exploitation.
Requirements:
§ Excellent command of one of the following languages - Pashto, Dari, Farsi, Turkish,Uzbek,Uighur and Urdu, as well as strong verbal and written American English skills (grammar, vocabulary, spelling) because linguist “work products” are prepared in English.
§ Must hold a current U.S. passport.
§ Must be willing to travel/work in various locations worldwide.
§ Familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself in accordance with the local culture and customs of the country.
